How do I reserve a package?

JourHealth is a medical platform that allows you to reserve travel medical services through our website. All you have to do is register as a patient and via the patient portal you’ll be able to reserve your preferred package online by following a few simple steps.

Can someone come with me?

Yes, all our packages allow you to come with someone else at no additional charge. You just have to buy an extra flight ticket.

What are e-Health medical services?

e-Health stands for electronic health. These are medical services that include access and management of your electronic medical record, telemedicine consultations with our doctors, an online physiotherapy platform, access to specific information about your medical condition and a social network where you can interact with other patients with similar medical conditions and with related doctors and a physiotherapist.

If I travel for surgery, what happens when I return home?

All our travel medical services include a one-year free subscription to our e-Health medical services. This means that our doctors and our physiotherapist will follow up with you regularly to make sure you are recovering appropriately and you’ll have access to them to ask questions anytime you need to.

If I have a disability, can I still travel for surgery?

Normally yes, but you should tell us in advance to make sure we can arrange all the services you may require while you are travelling.

Is this covered by my medical insurance?

That depends on your medical insurance; although some policies may reimburse the medical costs, they won’t pay for the rest of the services. We suggest you give them a call and ask about your coverage options.

Are these treatments covered by my national health service?

In certain countries it is possible to request reimbursement from your national healthcare system. Depending on the procedure, you may be eligible for such reimbursement. You may wish to consult your primary care physician to check whether you are eligible.

Where can I request a loan for my medical treatment?

What do I need to know before I travel?

Before you reserve any of our packages, our doctors will make sure you are eligible to travel. Important things to consider are any history of blood clots you might have, or whether you are receiving treatment with blood thinners, as well any other significant medical condition that might prevent you from flying.

What medical conditions do you treat?

How can you possibly do an orthopedic evaluation without touching the patient?

The vast majority of routine orthopedic problems can at least be initially diagnosed and treated without touching the patient. Medicine is highly repetitive, and histories are predictable. Orthopedics is no different.

How is data kept secure?

Data is kept secure using secure HIPAA-compliant servers and, during the transmission process, the data is 256-bit encrypted.

What connectivity recommendations do you have for telemedicine patients and providers?

Wi-Fi is recommended for all users, but not required. The platform functions over a 3G and 4G wireless signal.

What is telemedicine?

Telemedicine is the delivery of healthcare over modern communication methods. In the case of JourHealth, this is done via an HIPAA compliant secure video chat.

What are the Patient Benefits of Telemedicine?

What type of treatment can you provide using telemedicine?

Your provider can order testing such as MRI, CT, Electrodiagnostic studies (EMG/NCS) and X-rays. Or treatment such as injections, physical or hand therapy, prescription medications and bracing.

What is the best season to travel for medical services?

It depends on you but it is good to know that Murcia enjoys of very good weather conditions with more than 300 days of sun per year. Average temperatures range from the lowest in January 16º (max) 8º (min) to the maximum in August 30º (max) 23º (min).
